Oyivo Logistics is a service of Export Path. Export Path is a multinational trade development platform that assists small businesses to enter international markets. It is a public-private partnership comprising of over three dozen public, private and third-sector organizations in over half a dozen countries all of whom are working collaboratively to assist small businesses to develop new markets. Export Path is managed globally by Vertical Optimization, LLC, out of the Washington, DC area.
Oyivo Logistics fills a particular operational gap that often impedes small business entry into international markets. Most small businesses want to sell products to customers in foreign markets but cannot afford to maintain the operational staff to handle clearing, forwarding, storage, order fulfillment, etc. in those markets. Furthermore, many businesses cannot afford to acquire and maintain the storage space to hold inventory (to enable timely and affordable shipping to [local] customers) in foreign markets. In many cases, the volume of trade (though potentially profitable) is not sufficient to justify setting up a full-time staff operation or renting storage space. This is where Oyivo Logistics comes in.
Oyivo Logistics assists you with four things:
- Clearing your products in an Export Path country (Clearing).
- Storing your products safely pending an order from one of your customers in the country of interest (Storage)
- Re-packaging your products and shipping them to your customers based on your instructions (Order Fulfillment)
- Receiving returned products and handling return merchandise transactions (Return Merchandise)
In a typical case, you may maintain a web site (or media campaign or similar marketing effort) and market your products to customers in a particular country (different from your operational base). When orders come to you from that country, you simply send secure shipping instructions to the Oyivo Logistics office in the country of interest and the order is filled from our local hub and shipped to the customer. This saves considerable time and expense, and enables a company to service customers who might otherwise be unserviceable. This is why at Oyivo Logistics we say "You Run The Frontend, We Run The Backend". Your company handles the [front-end] marketing effort, while we manage the [back-end] order fulfillment.
This service is available to companies that wish to enter developed markets (such as the US) as well as emerging markets (Africa, the Caribbean, etc.), irrespective of their country of origin. We also assist domestic companies with domestic order fulfillment in those instances where outsourcing order fulfillment makes business sense.
